Call for expression of interest for Coordination of GLU online academy courses for francophone Africa and the Maghreb-region.
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung's Trade Union Competence Centre for Sub-Saharan Africa (FES TUCC) offers internships of two to four months (ideally three months) to people who are interested in expanding their knowledge of the trade union landscape in Sub-Saharan-Africa. You should have a basic interest for labour and society issues, social justice and trade unions.
You will work in a small but fine team, everybody here has diverse backgrounds and experiences from which you can highly benefit. Depending on the current activities at the time of your internship, you will work individually or closely with office colleagues or project partners. You may also become involved in activities such as research, event planning, documentation and general administration. It is possible and highly welcomed that interns are attending seminars and conferences, write reports and minutes, do internet research as well as conduct all sorts of work which are connected to our daily office work.
If you are interested in the internship, please send the following documents to our project assistant Ms. Pulane Ditlhake: Pulane.Ditlhake(at)fes.de
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. Should you not hear from the FES TUCC by 30 June please consider your application unsuccessful.
We welcome applications for later internship intakes. Please indicate clearly on your application which intake you are applying for.
Although the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung offers a monthly stipend, you will be liable for all personal, travel and living expenses.
We strongly encourage applications from South Africa and the wider region.
We are looking forward to your application!
